We are a neighborhood bar & bistro committed to the community first and foremost and safety for everyone has been paramount throughout these trying times. Now that we’re confident we can open safely and provide the same thoughtful level of service you have come to expect, we’re thrilled to be doing just that beginning on Wednesday, July 21st.
For first time visitors, the Sovereign is located in the vibrant Georgetown neighborhood of Washington, D.C. and offers a menu defined by classic, ingredient-driven Belgian dishes that draw on French, German and Dutch cooking techniques and traditions. From classic Belgian producers to revivalist brewers, as well was international and domestic producers of exceptional Belgian-style ales, the Sovereign offers and expansive breadth of selections that illuminate the flavor-driven, craft-brewed complexity that is the trademark of the very best of Belgian brewing.
